June 8, 2026 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:14 to 2:21 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
Initially near the back of LPB was a Sub-adult Male: chubby size, clean coat, light male belly, not sure about tags. This seal moved to the rocks on the Lanikai side of LPB and then moved into a channel in the rocks before disappearing. The chubby size of this seal reminded Marilyn of super-weaner RT90 who nursed successively on two mother and was very pudgy.
Around 2:12 pm one of the three weaners hauled out on the LPB channel and moved up the beach. Marilyn isn't sure which of the weaners this was. Also she did not see the other two weaners today.
MO10 and PO10 started out among the Middle Cliff rocks where the pup was nursing. Then the pair disappeared and later showed up among the waterfront rocks down from the 2BS where they hauled out and the pup nursed again.
Out on the back side of the SRI channel was a Sub-adult Female who was partially hidden: sub-adult size, yellow female belly unsure about tags.

Team R&B had a decent day today. Out on the west side they saw a seal on electric beach from afar. It was a male and they thought it might be RP28 Wakea. They could see two red tags, a cc scar under belly. all from afar. Then suddenly a second seal hauled in and the two had words. The other seal was adult size, but it left before Team R&B could get to the location.

They made their way over and waited around for a while. Another seal
hauled up but further to the right near the jetty. So they headed over to get a good look and it was the lovely RU22. This green Molokai female was looking just fine.
Then they saw another seal further away so they made their way over and it was a male with two red tags. People were getting close to the seal. It took some time but they finally noticed a scar on the "ankle" area. That's when they realized it was RP28 Wakea, who had moved over. They also noted they had heard he was on Molokai last week.

Their last stop they were surprised to find the lovely RL42 Leia. She
was resting on the opposite of side of where she normally goes. The area is full of mud, rocks and debris. She's a big girl and looks good.
They were happy to see her, and needless to say they had quite a workout today.
Last but not least they spotted two turtles resting, one had a tumor near its tail.
