HEY just a reminder that tonight (Thurs. 9/17) is HMSRTO's first official fundraiser and our first official 'event'. As many of you already know we have organized and created a nonprofit tax exempt organization Hawaiian Monk Seal Response Team Oahu ... HMSRTO.
We would love for you to join us at the KIM TAYLOR REECE GALLERY, on Bethel Street Honolulu. Bring your family and friends, there is going to be a silent auction with some fantastic artwork... a raffle drawn every 30 minutes with prizes from dinner to weekend get aways.. Just look what Patrick Ching donated... Come by and make a bid at the silent auction. ~donna~

Sorry cant make the Gala, but good luck. I want to say I already bought this awesome Patrick Ching Painting, it is a reminder to me of Hoku, Penelope, Chester and all the other seals. Also want to thank the volunteers for helping me bring attention to our Rabbit Island situations of Illegal Intruders. Some of you good volunteers gave it a shot and I want you to know we have gotten a response and thats a good thing, they are now paying attention. Hopefully if more of you write to Laura Thielen, asking for more Responses dealing with Illegal Intruders (BAD GUYS) we can help DB and our precious critters. Got any suggestions, tell Laura Thielen, come on you guys, help DB who gives so much of his time to the Hawaiian Monk Seals. If we dont try something, the problems will still exist. Fight for DB, Fight for our precious Kerby, Duke..who is now missing, Mikala our female pup, Rip, Ewa Girl, Sadie, Buster, M38, Irma, and more. We have to CARE about the critters...its what this whole thing is about..SEALS. Ok, nuff said. Bah!!!!!!!!!!! May monk seals live on FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
Oopps!! I ment to thank Patrick Ching for his lovely painting which I bought last year. You touch my heart with your awesome work, I gaze at my painting all the time. Thanks for your caring and for donating such a lovely piece of art. You have a precious gift and it shows in your work.
Oh Barb you and Rob were missed... but from DB's report you had a busy seal day!
As far as the letter writing .. I agree, and I will say this is an ongoing issue.. we see if we can brainstorm and comeup with some solutions....
oh and BARB thanks for all you and Rob do.. its sooo appreciated.
