At 0545 I found Buster and Benny right where I'd left them last night at the Makapuu end of Kaupo Beach Park. I put up a full cordon, and rechecked them hourly through the morning. On my 1055 check, they had departed.
The Rabbit Island day began at 0625, finding Sadie (0927) tucked into the base of the cliff at the left end. She would move down at 0927 allowing the ID.
At 0941 Mikala (0941) hauled out to IBS and Sadie galumphed over to join her. They played on the beach for a while, and then entered the water at 0947 to continue play. Mikala would haul out again at 1149, but I would not see Sadie again today.
On a pan at 1121 I found Kolohe (1121), on the water front rocks at the right end of the beach. He would remain there the rest of the day.
At 1124, Duke (1124) hauled out to the far left end of the beach, where he would remain the rest of the day.
At 1257 , to my surprise, M38 hauled out to the left end and galumphed up to join Duke. M38 had not been seen since his Diamond Head day with Rocky on 9-14-09. Duke gave him no response at all, and after a few minutes M38 rolled back to the water. He hauled out again at 1335 to join Kolohe at the right end of the beach, and once again Kolohe gave him nothing. M38 quickly settled down to snooze mode.
Team Billand called at 0600 to confirm that Irma still had the long term lease on the beach front of cottage #1708 at White Plains.
At 1354 I got a call from Mary Lobo at Iroquois Point, reporting an animal on their beach. Their people had cordoned the animal off, and she sent photo proof of the Ewa Girl ID. Team Billand also confirmed the Ewa Girl ID at 1622.
Since Ewa Girl has been hanging out in the Campbell Industrial Park, and Kalaeloa areas, this haul out may indicate that she is moving east. While only Ewa Girl knows for sure, it might indicated that she is moving back to her Hanauma Bay haunt. Keep an eye on the left side rock flats guys.
