DB Post Friday 8/14/2009

At 0609 posse person Greg, (via Betty) reported an animal newly hauled out at Sandy Beach. When I arrived at 0614 I found Right Spot on the main beach. I got her cordoned off and rechecked her multiple times through the day. SB lifeguard posse person , Shannon called at 1650 to report that Right Spot had departed. I picked up the stuff and called it a day at 1715.

The Rabbit Island cast for today began with RIP at the far left end, and Ewa Girl, 70% molted on D#6, just left of 1BS, and Kolohe and Mikala close together 100 ft right of 3BS, and Duke by himself at the far right end of the rubble beach.

At 1210 Buster would show up, first hauling out to RIP's location, but departing quickly as RIP gave him a snort. He then hauled out to join Ewa Girl, and everything was cool until RIP decided to swim down and take over the chick. After a growl, Buster moved off 20 ft or so, and let RIP grab the prime location. The entire cast was in snooze mode when I departed the pier.

Barbara Billand called at 0756 with the report of Kerby and Ka'ena at Ka'ena Point. She called again at 0830 to add BG (75% molted) to the list, and again at 0922 to say that Yoda was now on scene. Kerby's fish hook is still there. This nightmare has been going on since 7-23-09 with no professional response.
