5/3/2017 DB's Dailies:

At 0730 I found Sadie (RB12), RG32 & Kea (RN46) fronting 1BS on Rabbit Island. Sadie would ultimately go in and loll in the near shore waters at the left end of RI. Being buoyant has got to feel good.  She would haul out at Left Middle Cliff at 0958.

RG32 would follow Sadie in but maintained distance from her. He would haul out to the left end of the beach and join Kea near the water line for the rest of the day.

Team Billand would report RW02 & Ka’ale (RH32) at Maili at 0801.  Barbara would find a foraging animal off shore of Maili at 0831, and at 0932 confirmed the R3CU ID.

Barbara got a call from friend Joanne, who sent a shot of RL42 at the 20Min mark on the west side KP trail.  Barbara would respond at 1053.

At 1330 Team Billand reported Lei Ola (RH48) at Makua Cliffs.

5/2/2017 DB's Dailies:

It was an interesting cast of Rabbit Island characters today, with lots of interaction.  The day would begin at 0830 with my finding Sadie (RB12), fronting IBS on RI.

At 1012 a little guy that would prove to be RG32 (he didn’t go with Benny), hauled out to 1BS, and galumphed over to join Sadie.

Yet another animal would haul out to join Sadie & RG32, at 1041.  To my surprise it would prove to be Kea (RN46). ID was by his L&R FF NB. His last RI visit had been on 4-22-17.

At 1116 Kekoa (RK72) hauled out to join the others. All of the males would interact almost nonstop , moving in and out, with lots of play.  Sadie managed to keep them all at bay.

At 0827 Team Billand reported a foraging animal doing 7 min dives off shore of Campbell Industrial Park. No ID was possible.

At 0926 the Billands reported Kerby (RW08), Ka’ale (RH32)& RW02 at Maili.  Kerby would depart at 1251.

A Tracy text brought word that a public email had reported RL42 at Ka’ena Pt, on 4-28-17. Her last sighting had been on 1-9-17. It was great news to get word of her at KP.

5/1/2017 DB's Dailies:

At 0725 I arrived at Makai Pier to find Kolohe (RW22) snoozin' behind the Morning Glory fronting 3BS on Rabbit Island. ID was by is right side natural bleach.

On a pan at 0734 I panned down to Rocky Right Beach just in time to see an animal just hauling out. When the light got the better at 0840 I was able to see Kawena's (RH36), N36 bleach.

Gayle called at 1059 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Kokee Flats.
