On a pan at 1052 I found a newly arrived Kawena (RH36) just galumphing up to the vegetation line. Both animals remained for the entire observation period.
At 1228 I found Kolohe (RW22) on the flats at Lanai Lookout.
A Billand text at 0600 advised that they had found R8HE logging in the Paradise Cove lagoon. The Hotline and NOAA were advised. She would later move outside the lagoon, but remained in the area.
At some point she must have departed because at 1425 Team Billand found her, hauled out at Tracks, across from Kahe Power Plant.
At 0841 the Billands heard from Tracy, advising that she was in route to check on R8HE, but had been diverted to check on a reported hooked seal at the 15 Min mark on the west side KP trail. The ran into Tracy on her way out from the location and Tracy advised that it was RL42, and that there was no hook. It had been debris around her muzzle, mistaken for a hook, by the caller. ColleenMail at 0933 with photos advised that Kaiwi (RK96) was on the beach behind the Elk’s Club in Waikiki. A later text from Colleen advised that Kaiwi had departed at 1115.
At 1042 the Billands found RW02, once again at Kea’aus. At 1140 they found Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.
