The Cass find would have made my whole day anyway, but when AD weaner Kawena (RH36) hauled out to the Middle Cliff area of Rabbit Island at 1134, it was the cherry on the cake ! She reentered the water after galumphing west a bit, only to haul out for the day at the far left (west) end of the beach. The photos just don’t pick up the N36 bleach, but I clearly saw the bleaches on both left & right sides.
Diver posse member Paul Hasley advised that he had seen Kolohe (RW22) doing a drive by at Lanai Lookout, heading east, at 0903.
Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove at 0535. She would depart at 0743. Auntie Nettie would later advise the Billands at 1259, that Pohaku had hauled out to Secrets. Pohaku would depart that site at 1306.
At 0928 the Billands found Ka’ena (RO40)& BG (R303) together at Makua Cliffs. They were getting a little too much attention from people, and finally departed at 1218.
At 1107 Team Billand found Ka’ale (RH32) at the 20Min mark on the west side KP trail.
Gina WalkerMail at 1423 advised that she was with Holokai (RG40) at the Keiki Pond, at Turtle Bay.
Its Saturday and of course that means that Marilyn & Lesley were once again at the End of the World. At 0937 they found Squinty (R330) at Ka’ena Point. Then at 1114 they reported Kerby (RW08)also.
I made an interesting find this morning as I drove through the Koko Marina Shopping Center , in Hawaii Kai. As I drove along the area behind the Theater complex I spied a new addition to the usual barren wall. They had added two huge photo/murals there. To my shock & awe therrrrre was a much bigger than life photo of our 3 y.o. boy , Kea (RN46), the last known son of Irma. At birth I named him Kea which means white. I think it will be obvious why.
Cass
