On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0638 I found an U/U at Rocky Right Beach. The horrible morning lighting and haze made an ID impossible. When I got back at 1100 the animal had either moved down behind the water front rocks, or had departed. Either way it was not visible from the pier of from the Makapuu Overview.

　

At 1100 I found Sadie&Pup (RB12)(D#30) at a new location , in a small open area amongst the water front rocks at Left Middle Cliff. Both were only partially visible.

　

Gayle called at 1217 with the report of Kea (RN04) at the small cove on the Sandy Beach side of the Blowhole Lookout . He had not been there on my 2 morning checks.

　

At 1258 I found Kaiwi (RK96) at Toilet Bowl, Hanauma Bay.

　

At 0730 Team Billand called with a report of an U/U at Lagoon #4 KoOlina. It was said to be Haupu, but the ID was not confirmed.

　

At 0930 the Billands reported Kolohe (RW22) at Paradise Cove. He would depart at 1415.

　

At 1002 the Billands got a report of an animal at L#1 KoOlina. This animal was also said to be Haupu, but again the ID was not confirmed.

　

At 1209 Team Billand found Buster (RV08) & Nihoa (R912) at Nanakai Beach, Maili. They departed at 1430.

　

Marilyn & Ken did the Ka’ena Point trek today, and reported BG (R303), Ka’ena (RO40), RW02 & RIP (RR70) at the end of the world.

　

While on the subject of RIP... My #1 son turns 11 today. Happy Birthday kid!

　

At 1537 Ocean Safety called with a report of an animal hauling out to Maili Beach Park. Team Billand confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID.
