5-10-2014 DB's Dailies:

At 0635 on my first look at Rabbit Island I found Sadie & Pup (RB12)(D#37) doing a feed on the far left end of the beach. I saw 2 swim sessions and 4 feeds today. They were well back on the beach so I didn’t have much of a look at them.

At 0907 the above mentioned M38 showed up. He was in full “cruiser mode”, patrolling the beach front multiple times through the day. He hauled out twice to the 2 girls. While on the beach, at 0919 he alerted to something in the water which would prove to be Kainoa (RN04) when the hauled out to 1BS at 0920. 


Marilyn & Lesley did the usual Ka’ena Point trek today. They found Temp402, Ka’ena (RO40) & RW02 at the end of the world, and found Luana (RN58) on the Mokuleia birth beach on the way out.

Despite lotsa’ lookin’ Team Billand didn’t check in until 1253 with a report of Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Point.

They advised that White Plains lifeguards had called about an animal trying to haul out at WP, but the adoring hordes following it down the beach as it tried to haul out, but would not allow it. The animal finally gave up and continued on.
