5-13-2014 DB's Dailies: Weaner,Kainoa&U/F @ RI, Haupu @ Nanakuli, Buster&RIP @ WP, U/U@Camp Erdman, Meli @ TB, Ka'ena,Kerby,RW02 & RL42@KP

At 0650 I found what would prove to be the illusive U/F on the left end rock flats of Rabbit Island.

At 0952 Kainoa (RN04) hauled out to the left end flats. Both Kainoa and the U/F would depart together with the rising tide at 1205. I’d been searching for the weaner all morning. It would be 1236 before the kid finally hauled out , 60 ft left of 2BS, on RI. I’m still thinkin’ female. The troops are scheduled for Thursday to tag the kid, per Tracy.

At 0655 Team Billand reported Haupu (RB24) at Nanakuli. At 0757 the Billands reported Buster (RV08) at the Snack Shack, White Plains.

The Billands reported a call about an animal at Lagoon #1, KoOlina at 0757. There was nobody there. Though the rest of the day there were persistent called about an animal or animals at all of the lagoons, but nobody was ever found.

At 0831 the Billands arrived at Kalaeloa Campgrounds just as an animal was departing, run off by a surfer. They followed the animal as it moved east, and at 0926 confirmed that RIP (RR70) had hauled out to join Buster at WP. They eventually had words and both departed at 0950, however RIP would haul out again fronting #1708 at 1009.

Cianna called at 1527 with word of an U/U at Camp Erdman. Awaiting further word.

Some Billand posse people at #1707, WP reported the arrival of an U/U fronting their cottage at 1847.

Kimo Smith sent shots from yesterday, of Meli (RF20) with her new left muzzle wound, at Turtle Bay, and Kerby,Ka’ena,RW02&RL42 at Ka’ena Point. He trekked out to the end of the world again today and found Ka’ena, RW02 & RL42.
