Volunteer Appreciation Week

The following message is from Dana Jones.... however I would also like to say thank you to each and everyone out there looking after our Hawaiian monk seals. As DB would say... you done good !

Aloha Volunteers,
I wanted to send out a special thank you to you all for your efforts in the recovery of the Hawaiian Monk Seal. The response team's efforts here on Oahu and other islands, have been exceptional. The road to recovery for this species would not be possible without you.
There are so many dedicated and passionate people that have worked so hard, which is what makes you a great volunteer.
The pleasure and inspiration that I get out of working with you is overwhelming. NOAA, HMSRTO, PIRO, Monk Seal Foundation, and many others also appreciate the work everyone puts into helping these animals. We have all benefited from your hard work and dedication.

Be proud and happy for what you have accomplished

Dana Jones
Volunteer Coordinator, HMSRTO
