4-21-2013 DB's Dailies: Sadie&Pup (D#39)@RI, RK36&Aukai@SC, Irma@DH, R912&Kolohe@GR, Kerby@Maili Pt, Pohaku@PC, RI37@Mokuleia

At 0630 I found Sadie & Pup (D#39) doing the first of 7 observed feeds, on the far left end of the beach on Rabbit Island. I saw only 1 swim session today. The rest of the time was snoozin' & eatin' . Observation conditions completely sucked, so I apologize....again,for the crappy shots. I'm still not ready to commit to a call on the sex. Maybe tomorrow ????

Kimo called at 1003 to advise that he had been watching 2 animals at Spitting Cave since 0840. He was relatively sure of the RK36 ID, however he was unsure of the 2nd animal. After looking at his excellent shots when he got home he could confirm the RK36 and Aukai (RL12) ID.

I got a call from a posse member at 0758 advising of "a large seal" between Beach Rd, and "Wedding Park" (Leahi Beach Park), Diamond Head. I called Colleen immediately, and she draqged herself away from a perfectly good weekend sleep in day, to confirm the Irma (R010) ID. Colleen reported Irma's departure at 1027. Tomorrow ???? I've got a mean feeling Irma will be back in my life out this way tomorrow.

Dana called with the report of RI37 in Mokuleia at 1137. Shots from John & Debi Kelly confirmed the RI37 ID.

At 1222 Team Billand reported Kolohe (RW22) & R912 together in the near shore waters of Guard Rails Beach, having just been run off by idiots. The Billands would report them once again hauled out to the same location at 1230, however morons would once again run them off at 1327.

At 1340 the Billands reported Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point. He too would later be run off.

Though I knew nothing about it, apparently posse member Linda had been with Pohaku (RO28) at Paradise Cove most (or all) of the day. The Billands reported that she was still there at 1600, which was the first I'd heard about it.

In the Yesterday's News department , Molokai Di sent photos of yesterday's Mojo (RI17) find on Molokai.
