4-14-2013 DB's Dailies: Sadie&Pup(D#32)@RI, Kaiwi@SC&LL, Aukai@LL, Kermit@WSK

Sadie&Pup (D#32) would be the only Rabbit Island residents today. I found them in the Morning Glory, fronting 1BS at 0645, and when I got back to the pier at 0820 they were still in the water. It would be 0957 before they finally hauled out for a feed and a snooze. They entered the water again at 1229, and were still in the water when I departed the pier.

At 0731 we found Kaiwi (RK96) doing 6 minute dives at Spitting Cave.

At 12238 Gayle would advise that Kaiwi was now at Lanai Lookout.

At 1431 Gayle called again with the report of Aukai (RL12) arriving to join Kaiwi at Lanai Lookout.

An interesting side note to the Aukai story came with a call from Jack & a Hanauma Bay Lifeguard friend, advising that the lifeguard had been on his break, out at Toilet Bowl, at 1300, when he heard sniffles and looked down into the bowl of Toilet Bowl to see a "tiny seal", with 2 red tags, and no writing on the body, IN the bowl. He immediately backed off and observed the animal try to haul up out of the bowl, and then depart thru the under water channel leading out into the TB channel, and departing. Though Jim could provide no confirming evidence of an ID, there is zero doubt in my mind that it could be anybody but Aukai, since TB is just a few flipper flaps from Lanai Lookout. Vera Cober called at 0918 to advise that husband Glen was with Kermit (R012) at Wind Sock.
