4-27-2013 DB's Dailies

At 0702 I found Kaiwi (RK96) and RK36, together at Spitting Cave. Dive times were wildly inconsistent, since it was play and not foraging.

On my 2nd look at Rabbit Island, at 0907 I found Nani (RK60) and Buster (RV08) together near the water line fronting 1BS on RI. Nani would remain at that location all day, however Buster would depart at 1027. On a pan at 1320 I found him at the far right end of Rabbit Island, as has been the case the past few days. He would remain there the rest of the day.
At 0937 I got my first of 3 glimpses of Kainoa in the shallows at the far left end of RI, mostly hidden by rocks. He would finally haul out at 1311 to the far left end of the beach. He would remain there the rest of the day.

At 0808 Dera called with the report of an animal near the lighthouse at Diamond Head. Dera would call again at 0843 to confirm the Irma (R010) ID. Shots from Karen Rohter and posse member Christian confirmed the Irma ID.
Dana called at 0933 with the report of an animal at Hukilau Beach, Laie. Dana called again at 1108 to advise that it was R5AY. Confirmation photos from Vera Cober showed R5AY.

At 1040 Team Billand reported Kermit at Wind Sock.

At 1108 Dana reported an animal at Paradise Cove. Team Billand would confirm the Pohaku ID at 1150.

The Marilyn & Lesley Ka'ena Point expedition found RL42 about a third of the way in on the Waianae side trail, and R018 and BG (R303) at separate locations at the point.

At 1346 Team Billand reported Benny (RE74) at Maili Point.

They also noted 2 animals foraging off shore at Maili Point. They thought it might be Kolohe (Barbara said she saw a 3, and possible R912, but photos were inconclusive.
