10-17-11 DB Dailies

We arrived at AD at 0600, going directly to the 300 yds east of the AD wall location, where we'd seen Kaiwi last night. After a bit of searching , Marilyn located her an additional 50 ft east , in a tide pool. At 0624 she left the pool and moved out , beginning her journey to the west. Gayle joined us and we all followed her as she checked all the usual spots, and by 0656 she arrived at a tide pool, 100 ft east of the AD wall. She remained there under Gayle's watchful eye, until she began the journey back to the east, at 0919, again checking all the usual spots. She hauled out to the water front rocks, back at the 300 yd site at 0947, and at 1005 she moved up to her favorite grassy patch where she went to snooze mode. On Tammy's watch she continued to snooze, only moving down to the water front rocks to blow bubbles while snoozing. According to Zeenat,Patrick & Tracy, she entered the water at 1600, and began her swim to the west. When I arrived near dusk, she was cruisin' in a tide pool, approximately 200 ft east of the AD wall.

At 0820 I found Buster (RV08), 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. When I got back to Makai Pier at 1112 for my 2nd RI look, I found that Nani (RK60) and Duke (RA12) had joined Buster. All remained there the rest of the day.

Team Billand checked in at 0827 with the report of M&M (R020) at Maili Point. At 1430 Team Billand found Kermit (R4DG) at Wind Sock. A day late and a dollar short. Irma was there yesterday , man !

Karen Turner reported that La'akea hauled out at TB from 0915 til 1415. She then returned to the water and was last seen headed in a hotel direction.

A mid morning call from Tracy brought an interesting factoid. I'd last seen Irma at the estuary at AD on 10-8-11. She was seen yesterday , 10-16-11 at Wind Sock. Tracy advised that in between she was seen on Wednesday, 10-12-11 she was seen on Kauai ! and by the by, T21M was seen there on Thursday, 10-13-11. Amazing !!!

Ka Iwi early morning snooze
  La'akea snoozing
La'akea's impression of a flat belly
 Well that didn't last long
 Ka Iwi afternoon rolling around
Heading out for her fav tide pool
Looks like she is in the middle of a rock quarry
