10-5-11 DB Dailies

At 0545 we found Kaiwi (RK96) where we'd left her last night, high on the beach 175 yds east of the old SPZ. The old SPZ was dismantled this morning, so now it's a rope and signs operation. When Molokai big wigs Diane and Val and I arrived at 1129 we found Kaiwi on the rock flats of her birth location. Jan Dill advised that she had entered the water earlier and hauled out to that location when we arrived. At 1250 she would depart the west end location and move back to the east, hauling out at her starting point, 300 yds east of the AD wall, at 1300.

The Rabbit Island cast for today would turn out to be, Duke )RA12) at Seal Rock Inlet, Buster (RV08) 60 ft left of 1BS, and Nani (RK60), on the Waimanalo side of Left Point Beach.

Dera called at 1116 reporting that Karen Turner had reported 2 animals on the Kahuku side of Kahuku Point. Her photos confirm one as Right Spot, but the other molting animal must remain and U/U. There was just not enough info in the shots.

Team Billand report Kermit (R4DG) in a few different location today, but he ultimatel ended up between Tower #1 and the fence line at White Plains. While he was at NIM BennyRE74) hauled out to join him, and of course they had words. Kermit would move on to WP. Benny was last seen swimming in an Ewa Beach direction, passing WP.
Look closely at this photo... seems like these swimmers have no clue kermit is there.... he obviously doesn't care they are there... no harm no foul ...
Move over kid I'm hauling out

and the bickering begins.....
