10-4-11 DB Dailies

We arrived at AD at 0545, in the rain, and at 0600 we found Kaiwi (RK96) right where we'd left her last night, high on the beach near the vegetation line, 175 yds east of the old SPZ. She would move down to cool off a couple of times through the day, but never entered the water, and always moving back up to the vegetation line. She seemed to like playing with the grass. The rising swell made water conditions gnarly. It was a good day for her to stay high and dry.

 On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0715 I found what would prove to be Duke (RA12) up in the Morning Glory at Seal Rock Inlet. He would later move down and entered the water at 1115. I did not see him again today.

 At 0719 I found Irma (R010) on the beach at Makapuu. I got her cordoned off, and she remained until 1523, departing of her own volition.
