When I arrived at the Makapuu Overview for my 2nd look at Rabbit Island, at 0859, I found M38 on the beach front incline , 100 ft left of 1BS. He would remain there until 1100, when the rising tide began getting to him. He entered the water and in true cruiser male mode did six trips back and forth looking for action. He would finally haul out again to 3BS at 1322.
At 1334 Duke hauled out to 3BS. M38 was on him immediately, in the shore break and then following him up the beach, climbing on and being his usual pain. Duke escaped him each time, and by 1400 both had settled down to snooze mode.
Team Billand called at 0636 with the report that Irma was just hauling out at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach. They called again at 0737 to advise that 4DF was once again at Hau Bush, Ewa Beach.
Dera reported a factoid from the better late than never file. Apparently, our little Nihoa pal A50 was seen at Shark's Cove on Sunday. She just got the word today.
