Rabbit Island observations were a challenge today, however at 1027 I found RIP at the left end of the beach. At 1134 Duke hauled out, 80 ft left of IBS. At 1308 RIP moved over to join Duke, but the kid wouldn't respond to his nuisance nuzzlings at all. RIP tired of the game and moved up and into the Morning Glory and the two spent the rest of the day there.
Team Billand called at 0752 with the report of Kermit at White Plains, fronting cottage #1706. At 0828 they called again with the report of Irma at Wind Sock, Kalaeloa Beach.
Dana Jones called at 0918 to advise that T15M had been reported somewhere in Mokuleia and that Jenn Maldonado was responding. I have received no confirmation , or photos as of this writing.
Team Kenyon did the KP trek again today, and brought back shots of a little animal that I just can't ID. It's location out on the rocks, limited access and angles and there just isn't enough to go on. Hopefully, an answer awaits just around the corner. It appears to be a young, untagged animal and because of a scar between the eyes, doesn't appear to the the new one from last week, though that is still a possibility. Hopefully, Tracy can provide some insight tomorrow. Stand by fans !
At 1205 Dana called again requesting help with an ID on an animal at Rocky Point. Based on her description it seemed pretty certain that it was Right Spot. When I got home and saw the photos sent by Ilona Hemperly and Jeanne Martinson, it was abundantly clear that it was, in fact, Right Spot.
Right Spot
Unidentified - TBD
