4/4/2017 DB's Dailies:

It was a big ol' zero out my way today. Fortunately, my favorite Canadians, Todd, Darlene & Jessica, checked in at 0905 with the report of Rocky (RH58) at Kaimana Beach today. They reported that she was gone at midday.

Posse member Lesley called at 1233 to advise that BG (R303) & RK36 were near the Lyman castle in Mokuleia. They appeared to have overnighted.

Lesley checked in again early this evening forwarding shots from Mike Doyle who once again today had Kaiwi (RK96) below him as he worked on a house above Kokee Flats. He asked her visitors to give her some space.

4/3/2017 DB's Dailies:

At 820 I found wgat would prove to be RG32 up in the grass behind seal rock inlet on Rabbit Island. He would move down shortly thereafter and spent the day staying cool near the water line.

Gayle called at 1034 with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) about a 3rd of the way down the Kokee Flats. Lesley forwarded a shot from posse member Mike Doyle, of Kaiwi on the flats.

The daily check of the HMSRP Facebook page brought a very interesting find. Thanks guys !! Click below to discover Petunia (RZ20).

4/2/2017 DB's Dailies: RIP@Rabbit Island, Benny@Paradise Cove, Kekoa@Nani Kai, Team Billand,

At 0742 arrived at Makai Pier to find what would prove to be my first born, RIP (RR70) at mid beach moving down toward Seal Rock Inlet. At 1004 I lost sight of him in the inlet, and did not see him again today.

At 0540 Team Billand got word of an animal at Paradise Cove. At 0607 they confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID.

At 1045 the Billands reported Kekoa (RK72), cruisin’ the shoreline at Nani Kai Beach lookin’ for da’ boyz. He had not hauled out as of their observations. No further word.

4/1/2017 DB's Dailies: RIP & UU@Rabbit Island, R3CU@Ka'ena Point, Kaiwi@Makalei BP, Kekoa&RK36@Nani Kai Beach, Benny@ Zablan Bch, Nanakuli, Pohaku@Maili BP

When I arrived at Makai Pier at 0745 I found what would prove to be RIP (RR70), moving down from the vegetation line, right of 3BS on Rabbit Island.

At 0856 he spied a smaller animal just starting to haul out, and quickly responded to the water line. I had no opportunity to get an ID on the new arrival. It appeared to be smaller than RIP, but not small. It was all over in seconds, and RIP returned to snooze mode for the rest of the day.

Marilyn & Lesley did the End of the World trek. I suppose its better than being skunked, but to have a single animal after all that trekkin’ is tough. They found R3CU on the back beach at Ka’ena Point. Excellent ID shots !!

Team Billand reported a probably overnighted RK36 at Nani Kai at 0620.

Kekoa (RK72) showed up next and the two did a bit of tussling in the water, but Kekoa would ultimately haul out to Nani Kai at 0817.

At 0930 the Billands reported the Benny (RE74) at Zablan Beach, Nanakuli.

At 1004 they found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Beach Park.

My very most favorite Canadian posse people, Todd & Darlene (this year accompanied by fledging posse niece Jessica) checked in with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at Makalei Beach Park. They just got off the plane yesterday, and immediately changed into posse mode and got to work.
