10/7/2010 DB Dailies

At 0630 I found Duke and Kolohe at Rabbit Island. When I got back to Makai Pier at 0902 I found that Buster had joined Kolohe. All would remain there all day. Duke's D#10 molt is 40%.

Team Billand reported Irma at White Plains at 0902. She would depart at 1400. Dera and Rachel, from the office, joined Team Billand on their morning rounds.

At 0903 Dera checked in with the report of an U/U at Kuilima Cove, and a red tagged animal at the Keiki Pond at Turtle Bay. Diane Gabriel would confirm the ID's as R5AY at Keiki Pond, and Lona at Kuilima Cove at 1119. Diane also confirmed Ua Malie on the Turtle Bay side of Kahuku Point.

Dera called at 1434, to confirm the above ID's and also added that Right Spot was sighted near Malaekahana, by her boyfriend. (and who would that be? enquiring minds want to know..)

Are we to worry about Sam?

R5AY looks all saggy and deflated. Is she ok? She definetly exhausted. Can we get better pictures of her?

R5AY is looking pretty lean, but she also just weaned a very FAT kid, and made a trip to Kauai and then back to Oahu... now she is getting ready to molt.

Chances are she'll be getting back to her normal self soon. But you made a good point, sometimes depending on their position in the sand, they can look pretty big or small.... so next time there are some pics, we'll have another look.

Please add your name to the bottom of the post... its always nice to know who we are talking with.

I took the picture and I thought she looked exhausted but weight wise pretty good. Of course, the last time I saw her was right before she weaned the pup and was looking very emaciated. Diane G.
