He was joined at 1046 by Kolohe . I hadn't seen the boy in a few days, so it was nice to see him again. There was only minimal interaction, mostly nuisance nuzzling by Buster. Both snoozed away the rest of the day together.
Team Billand had a busy little day, with lots of mileage. The first call came at 0830 with the report of Rocky at Nimitz Beach, fronting #1705. At 0927 they found Ewa Girl fronting #1775, at White Plains. Lastly, came an 1103 call reporting Irma near Access 187A, in Ewa Beach.
Dera called at 0905 with the report of an animal near Keiki Beach on the North Shore. Apparently, Jeanie cordoned the animal off, but got no ID. Dera called later to say that Todd White had responded and would be posting shots to his blog later today. When I know...you'll know. Check www.northshoremonks.blogspot.com later on for Todd's photos. I've found nothing so far.
Afternoon email from Karen Turner brought excellent R5AY photos from the Keiki Pool at Turtle Bay today. Karen found her around 0900. She was gone by 1100. Her D#10 molt appears to be approximately 95% molted. Ua Malie was not sighted today.
Afternoon email from Team Kenyon, following the Sunday KP trek, brought a real highlight to the day. It's neat enough that they found and photographed a full molted Ka'ena, and Kerby , back from yesterday's Maili adventure. They found him along side CeeCee on the way in from the Waianae side. Kiko was at the point and they got the first clear shots of Kiko's new left side N25 bleach. Eric said she rolled.........She did !
2AW was also spending the day. The hightlight I spoke of came in the form of a new arrival to Oahu. I have no previous sighting info in my files anyway. RO28, a 4 y.o. female , born on Larsen's Beach on Kauai (5-3-2006) was at the point. She is one of the daughters of RK06. If that number rings a bell with you, it should. RK06 was the pregnant Mom who was murdered (shot)on Kauai last year by the 78 year old scum who got slapped on the hand. As tragic as that was, I can't help but be touched by the fact the her children live on, and today we got one of them !!! If the Kenyons keep this up, we may have to make way for a couple more statues out there.
R5AY - (thank you Karen Turner)
