August 1, 2025 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 2:00 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
On LPB there were three seals:
Closest to the Lanikai rock flats was Recent Weaner 1 (either PO11 or PO12) recent weaner size, shape and coloration and male belly.
About 40 feet away were Recent Weaner 2, recent weaner size, shape and coloration and male belly.
Molting Juvenile Female; Marilyn believes this is the unknown juvenile she has been seeing recently. The JF is about 80% molted and has at least one red tag.
At Middle Cliff was one of the older weaners which Marilyn believes to be RU24, older weaner size and coloration, male belly and two red tags.

Team R&B were over the moon today when early in the day they found RH76 Kala. She's back after weaning her pup on Rabbit Island. She was snug in the rocks with the waves hitting her. She moved her position but was still in a good hidden spot.

They weren't having much luck finding any other seals so they headed over to plains. They were happy to see RH48 Lei Ola once again hanging out on shore. She got hit by the big waves so she moved up by the lifeguard stand. The kids on the beach were fascinated how Lei Ola moved/galumphed her way up the shore.
The Lifeguard came over to stand up the signs after they had been blown over. It was nice he did it and shared that it bugs him when people don't read the signs. The beach was crazy with so many people close to where Lei Ola was.

Since there weren't anymore seals to be found Team R&B spent some time watching the brave souls surfing the big waves at yoks.
