August 18, 2025 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:47 to 2:28 pm and there were eight seals seen during that time.
Out on the Lanikai side of LPB was one of the recent weaners that Marilyn arbitrarily labeled as RU48: chubby weaner size and shape, two red tags and a light male belly.
Some distance away was the other recent weaner labeled RU64: chubby weaner size and shape, two red tags and a light male belly.
Near RU64 was an Adult Male: adult to sub-adult size, old coat with lots of green, male belly at least one red tag, possible line scar on right neck area. This is the same green seal Marilyn had labeled as a sub-adult male over the past few days.
In a group down from the 1BS were four seals:
Closest to LPB was a Sub-adult Female: sub-adult size, golden female belly, not sure about tags.
TempN25: sub-adult size, 55% molted, male belly no tags.
The next seal labeled as Juvenile Male: larger juvenile or small sub-adult size, older coat with some green, two red tags and male belly.
Near the JM was RU24: older weaner size and shape, two red tags and tan male belly.
Alone out on the RRB was RU38: older weaner size and shape, tan female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B started their day watching two seals foraging off rest camp. They spent close to two hours watching them to make an ID.  They aren't sure but believe the seal with the green coat is RL20
Kalua. They did see two tags but couldn't get a readable image.  The other seal is RH48 Lei Ola with her clean new coat.  While there, they spotted a motion in the water and then realized it was shark. They only got a glimpse of its fin.

They spotted a seal from afar at tracks. There was Miss R604 high up in the greenery. After a while she moved down a bit.  She had visitors but thankfully they kept their distance.

Next they saw a seal foraging off the outfall area. The seal had a lot of green on its coat and adult size. The seal never landed.

Lastly they made their way out to plains. On shore was the lovely Huakai KG89.  She still has a hook with the line.  She was resting peacefully and looking just fine, other than the hook.
