Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:42 to 1:37 pm and there were only three seals seen during that time.
On the back Lanikai side of LPB were two seals:
Juvenile Female: larger female size, 95% molted light female belly and at least one red tag.
Nearby was Recent Weaner 1: (either PO11 or PO12) chubby weaner size, sand-covered male belly no tags.
Team R&B checked all the usual spots and having no luck finding any seals. Makes one wonder where did they all go. They watched the dolphins who were out today, but further out. They saw a lucky fisherman fighting a fish and reeling in a big rainbow runner.
They decided to check out Plains where there lots of people but no seals. They stayed for at least an hour and finally spotted a seal coming in. The seal dodged the swimmers, surfers and then turned in and hauled out by the lifeguard tower.
It was the lovely Miss Lei Ola RH48. She hauled up and the lifeguards came over and put out the signs for her.
