August 8, 2025 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:55 to 2:42 pm and there were four seals seen during that time.
There is an update from yesterday when NOAA tagged the recent weaners. Unfortunately we will never know which one was PO11 and which one was PO12. The seal labeled RW1 yesterday was given the RU48 with U48/U49 tags. The seal that was labeled RW2 was given RU64 with U64/U65 tags. RU64 is larger than RU48 and RU64 was given an applied bleach.
Initially there were three seals on LPB, RU48, RU64 near each other and TempN25 partially hidden at the back of the beach.
At 1:09 pm, an Unknown Juvenile, hauled out to LPB and moved up to TempN25 at the back of the beach.
Then at 1:19 pm RU64 moved into the water and shortly was followed by the U/J and then by TempN25.
At 1:30 pm, the UJ and then TempN25 hauled out and moved to the depression at the back of LPB.
Then at 1:38 pm RU64 hauled back out and moved to RU48. Later both RU64 and RU48 moved into the depression at the back of LPB.

Team R&B were happy when they arrived at Pokai Bay to see two seals on the rocks. First there was RH76 Kala at the zen. They thought she looked a little thin today.
Hidden in the rocks to the other end was RM31 Kai.

Next they found RL20 Kalua. He was at Kahe, where there were two folks fishing next to him. Thankfully they were just fishing and letting him be. He eventually made his way to his pond.

They went to check all the usual spots and came up empty. They ended up at Yoks to watch the waves that were pretty big.  They rescued a boogie board and fin, and eventually the guy who lost them came by and got them.
