August 10, 2025 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:02 to 2:50 pm and there were five seals seen during that time.
In a group of three seals on the middle Lanikai side of LPB were the following:
Weaner RU64: recent weaner size and shape, male belly and two red tags. (Marilyn noted she doesn't know for sure if this is weaner RU64 or RU48, they were both seen today).
TempN25: sub-adult size, male belly scar above LFF and applied N25 bleaches on mid dorsal and on the rump.
Adult Male: adult size, medium to dark gray male belly and not sure about tags.
Alone in the middle to 1BS side of LPB was RU48: recent weaner size and shape, male belly and two red tags.
Out on RRB was RU38: older weaner size, light yellow female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B first find when they were checking tracks from afar. They noticed a male and female on shore again.  They were upset to see two dogs come down the beach near the seals. The U/M started to move away, rolled then stopped.  The dogs are from the camp close by.  Team R&B called the hotline and sent photos.

Next they made their way to plains where they found KG89 Huakai. The lifeguards had a zone set up where she was resting alone. They noted she still has a hook.
While out at plains they went to check and once again found the couple of the week RL12 Aukai and RG28 Lefty resting together.  The lifeguards did a great job setting up a rest area for them. They had reset it due to the high surf.

Lastly Team R&B headed over to yoks to watch the surfers in the big surf.  They witnessed some tourist jump in the water and all made it back when a they got hit by big surf. Once woman was in trouble, but thankfully her friend and lifeguard ran in and brought her to safety.  Whew!
