August 6, 2025 Wednesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:01 to 2:28 pm and there were three seals seen during that time.
Just as Marilyn started viewing a seal hauled out onto LPB from the surge channel. This turned out to be TempN25: sub-adult size, mottled male belly, no tags and applied N25 bleaches on his dorsal midline and rump.
As TempN25 was moving across LPB, Marilyn could see at least one seal in the depression at the back of LPB near the cliff. It did a flipper flex. Marilyn labeled this seal as an Unknown Unknown: probably subadult size and old coat. No other information.

Soon after one of the recent weaners hauled out at the back Lanikai side of LPB and moved along he back of the beach and ultimately into the depression. This seal is labeled Recent Weaner 1.

Team R&B first find was at pokai where there were two seals. They ID'd RH76 Kala with a green male, lots of scratches between should blade. This turned out to be RM31 Kai.  They both moved to the pond area.
Then they saw an Adult seal with red tags swimming around the rocks where Kala was resting. The seal went by and they couldn't make an ID but suspect it might be R3CX.
It was reported as an unknown adult.

Next they found on shore at Kahe Pavillion two seals next to the wall. Once again it was RL12 Aukai and RG28 Lefty. There were a few cones set up for them. Team R&B wasn't sure if they had been there over night.

Team R&B went to yoks to check out the area and got a call of a seal hauling up at plains. So they made their way to plains. There on shore was the lovely KG89 Huakai, who is still hooked.  She was on shore
getting slammed by the waves and at times completely covered by the water. She just stayed in place taking on each wave.

Lastly something you don't see everyday. A peacock walking down the road with her peachick next to her.
