Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:32 to 2:03 pm and there were seven seals seen during that time.
Initially out on the rock flats Lanikai side of LPB were two seals:
Weaner RU38: older weaner size and shape, two red tags and light female belly was with
Weaner RU24: older weaner size and shape, two red tags and male belly.
The two disappeared into the water at 12:36 pm. Then at 1:19 pm, two weaners, presumably RU38 & RU24 hauled out at middle cliff.
Again in the back of the Lanikai side of LPB was one of the resent weaners labeled RU64, although it could be RU48: chubby weaner size, light male belly; she did not see tags.
In the middle of LPB was an Unknown Sub-adult: sub-adult to adult size, old coats with lots of green, not sure about sec or tags. This may be the seal that was seen with an adult female at RRB several days ago.
On the 1BS side of LPB was TempN25: sub-adult size, old coat, N25 bleach on mid dorsal. Marilyn thinks he has started to molt. There was a lot of sand so it was hard to tell but looks to be about 15%.
Alone out on RRB was a Juvenile Male even though she did not see it ventral today. Juvenile size, two red tags and the same location as the J/M yesterday.
At 1:56 pm, Marilyn became aware that an Unknown Weaner or possibly juvenile had hauled out between 1BS and 2BS. Marilyn would guess older weaner size, two red tags, not sure about sex.
Team R&B only spotted one seal today. It was Miss R604 on shore resting. They suspect she may start to molt any day now. They were unable to get a good clear shot with the heat coming off the rocks.
