10/11/2015 DB's Dailies: Kea,Kainoa, U/F&U/U@Rabbit Island, Rocky@Kaimana Bch, RL42@Makua Cliffs, Holokai@Turtle Bay,

Marilyn took the first Kaimana Beach shift, and reported Rocky (RH58) at 0716. Her D#3 molt is approximately 15 to 20%. As is usually the case the girl is wasting no time (Rocky.... not Marilyn). Karen Rohter reported Rocky’s departure at 1230. An Ocean Safety call at 1644 advised of an animal newly arrived at Kaimana. Dana notified. Colleen confirmed that it was Rocky....again.

Observation conditions were horrible today. At 0830 I found what would prove to be Kea (RN46) & Kainoa (RN04) together at the log, 40 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island. They would both move enter the water at 1027, and hauled out together again to Left Greenery, at 1236.

At 3BS I initially saw an animal at 0830 , partially visible in the Morning Glory. Alas this was to remain an U/U .

At 1023 an animal I’d been completely unaware of, suddenly came galumphing out of the Morning Glory fronting 3BS. This would prove to be an U/F. I could never confirm an ID.

At 1045 Team Billand called with the report of RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

A Jon Gelman email at 1423 brought shots of Holokai’s lip, after yesterday’s hook removal. Thank you Jon !
