10/24/2015 DB's Dailies: Kea,Kainoa,Aukai&U/M@Rabbit Island, DB, Pohaku@Guard Rails, RL42@Makua Cliffs, Team Billand

Happy Seal Count Day !! I haven’t heard anything on the numbers, but maybe later ?

Here in the SE Quadrant we saw 4. All were Rabbit Island finds. Thanks to Gina & Marilyn for doin’ the trek ! Gayle checked in later on also. At 0720 I found Aukai (RL12)in the Morning Glory at 3BS on RI. She was being joined by Kea (RN47). At 0937 those two would be joined by Kainoa (RN04). All three would do a swim, and Kainoa & Kea would do another swim. Kea would haul out to 3BS, and Kainoa, 80 ft right of 3BS. Kainoa would be joined at 1248 by a large, green U/M. He never gave me anything to go on, but I gotta’ cat on Kolohe. This animal appears to be ready to molt, and Kolohe is at the top of my “possibles” list. He never showed me the all important right side. Maybe tomorrow ????

Team Billand checked in at 0815 with the report of RL42 at Makua Cliffs. At 0914 they found Pohaku (RO28) at Maili Guard Rails.

A Diane Gabriel text at 0944 brought word of Nihoa (R912) at Kuilima Cove, Turtle Bay.

A follow on phone conversation at 1547 with Diga brought word of the other finds in the Turtle Bay quadrant. At 0900 they found Holokai (RG40) at the Keiki Pool, and they also found La’akea (RK82) & an U/F at separate locations toward the Kahuku Golf Course.
Thank you Johnstons for your Holokai shots ! Diane G., is runnin' late after a lonnnng day. Check da' blog in the morning for her day.

I got 3rd hand info from Gina that Rocky had apparently been at Kaimana Beach today. An email from Karen Rohter advised that Rocky had apparently departed at 1030. That is all I know about that.

There was no other word from any other zones as of this writing. Sorry !
