3/18/2015 DB's Dailies: Duke,Aukai,Kainoa,RM38&2 UU@RI

Instead of the usual beginnings of the dailies, I will begin with the tough stuff first. Late yesterday word was received that Haupu (RB24) had died, at Ford Island. An offical statement from D. Schofield has gone out and will be available to read on the blog in the morning. Necropsy results were inconclusive. It is a very sad loss.

There was a bumper croppa’ critters at Rabbit Island today, along with one Opihi picker , bad guy. Docare got him . The known cast included Duke (RA12), Aukai (RL12), RM38 & Kainoa (RN04) . There were also Unknowns , partially visible at the right rock flats, and Rocky Right Beach

Team Billand took a “busman’s holiday” and went to see R5AY&PO1, after yesterday’s KoOlina ordeal.

They were still on the job however, reporting Rocky (RH58) at Access#186B, Ewa Beach, at 1508. 

At 1722 they found RIP (RR70) at Maili Point.
