5-1-11 DB Dailies

The Rabbit Island cast for today was Duke (RA12) and Kolohe (RW22). They snoozed together at Seal Rock Inlet all day.

On our 0747 Spitting Cave check we found Buster (RV08) doing 8 minute dives. Marilyn managed to get a shot of his small left side natural bleach above the LFF.

Team Billand reported Makaiwi (R4DF) on day #4 of her stay fronting #1701 at Nimitz Cottages.  They found Max (R5EW) at Palm Grove, Campbell Industrial Park at 0914.

Dera called at 1041 to advise that Jeannie Martinson had reported RI37 and Right Spot (R016) , once again at Sunset Beach. Posse member Jen Christian and hubby Jeff called at 1052 that they were at Sunset to Vsurf, and that she would send photos.

Barbara Billand called at 1128 to advise that White Plains lifeguards had called her to advise of an animal just hauling out fronting #1708. The Billands were not available so I contacted Dana for help,at 1130. Volunteer Heather Tipon responded and provided Kermit photos. Team Billand would later confirm the Kermit (R4DG) ID at 1357.

Kauai volunteers, Patti & Paul Sullivan sent grrrrreat shots of RK22 and Rocky (RH58) and their respective pup from today. Ya' Done Good Sullivans.

4-30-11 DB Dailies

Kolohe (RW22), Duke (RA12) & Buster made up the Rabbit Island cast for today.  They were joined from 1140 until 1155 by a male and female Stand Up Paddle Boarder who interacted with Kolohe and Duke both beginning their explorations and again on their way back to their boards. They were met by Officer Silberstein at Kaupo Beach Park at 1455. The received a warning !.

Team Billand reported RO28 at Tracks at 0737. She would be joined by 2AW at 1105. On their 1520 check the Billands advised that 2AW was now alone.

At 0845 the Billands reported Makaiwi (R4DF) fronting #1701 at Nimitz Cottages. She had overnighted.
At 1849 the Billands found M&M (R020) on the east side of the east end perimeter fence at White Plains.

At 0912 posse member Lesley called with word of a Facebook email about an animal at Makaha. She sent a photo confirming that it was Benny (RE74). At 1235 Dera called to report that there were now 2
animals at Makaha. Dana called at 1340 to say that posse member Deborah had reported R018. The IDs were also confirmed later by the Billands.
Dera reported 2 animals at Sunset Beach at 1021. She would confirm an RI37 ID at 1051. Dana would call at 1348 to advise that the other animal was Right Spot (R016)

Marilyn did the Ka'ena Point trek today, and found Ka'ena (RO40), Kerby (RW08) and Noa (R6FI) at the end of the world.
The Billands are runnin' late tonight, so please check the blog in the morning for their shots.
