Gayle called at 1023 to advise that Kawena (RH36) was hauling out at Kaupo Beach Park. It was fortunate that she called because Kawena was totally invisible to me from the pier. It was not until I got down there around noon that I finally laid eyes on her. HMMA was pm scene.
At 1043 RM38 came galumphing up out of Seal Rock Inlet for the day. He was only partially visible, but I could see his left side posterior NB.
A reliable posse member called at 1329 to advise that there was an animal at the east end of Irma’s. When I arrived I found Right Spot (R016) snoozin’ at the waterline.
A Tammy T text brought word that she was in the company of BG (R303) at 10Min Beach , north side KP trail. Though she trekked all the way to the End of the World, that was to be her only find.
Barbara went to Ka’ena Point later in the day, from the west side and found Ka’ena (RO40). The highlight of the day came with her find of the Kauai female R337) with her signature V21 bleach. She had last been seen on Rabbit Island on 1-8-17.
Robert Billand was on it while the missus was trekkin’ . He found Pohaku at Paradise Cove at 1210. She seems to have picked up 3 new wounds on her left chest. The appear similar to partial CC wounds, but Tracy will need to check them, and let us know.
Robert had found 3 animals in Maili, but it take the full Team Billand to get the ID on them. They proved to be Kerby (RW08), RIP(RR70) & Kekoa (RK72).
The Donna forwarded shots from Moku Nui today. Nani (RK60) was in residence again today.
A Colleen call at 1750 advised that Buster (RV08) had hauled out just two doors down from her place at Diamond Head. His molt continues. When I last saw him, sat RI on 1-14-17 he was 60%. Colleen’s excellent shots show an 80% Buster.
