1/12/2017 DB's Dailies: RM38,Buster,Kolohe,Kea,Kekoa,RK36&Jm@Rabbit Island, Kawena@Kaupo Beach Park, Benny@Secrets, RI37&R5AY@Hauula, Ka'ale@Maili, Nani@MCBH,

At 0800 RM38 had Rabbit Island all to himself, or so I thought. I found him snoozin’ right where he had been yesterday, on the left rock flats .

 On a routine pan down to Kaupo Beach Park I spied Kawena newly hauled out near the pump house. She had not been there on my 0700 check. I called the Hotline and HMMA responded.

 At 0925 I found Buster (RV08) just moving out from his hiding place in the grass behind 2BS. He would remain there all day. Finally , he is making progress on his molt. 20% today.

 On a pan back to the left rock flats I was just in time to find 4 animals hauling out to RM38's location. They would prove to be Kolohe (RW22), Kea (RN46), Kekoa(RK72) & the J/M. The would reenter the water rather quickly, only to haul out again to the flats further out, where they remained the rest of the day.

 On a pan at 1234 I found that Buster had been joined by what would prove to be RK36, at 2BS. 

Team Billand called at 0626 reporting Benny (RE74) at Secrets. They reported his departure ate 0845.

 At 1108 they found Ka’ale (RH32), once again in Maili.

 An 1830 Anissa text advised that Nani (RK60) was departing after a day at MCBH. Thank you Anissa.
