As I walked on to Makai Pier just before 0900 one of my regular, hardcore fisherman posse people gleefully advised that “one of your babies was here about an hour ago”. He proceeded to explain that a small animal with an N36 written on the side had swum by. That would , of course, be female weaner Kawena (RH36). She would haul out to Right Greenery , on Rabbit Island at 1105.At 0900 I found Kolohe (RW22), 80 ft right of 3BS on Rabbit Island, and further to the east I found the J/M, Unknown in the grasses behind Seal Rock Inlet. He would depart at 1134.
Barbara didn’t check in until 1506. She was reporting Lei Ola (RH48) at the 25Min mark on the west side KP trail.
At 1647 Barbara reported Squinty (R330) arriving to the back beach at Ka’ena Point. She also reported that yesterday’s Whale continues to break up on the rocks along the trail.
A Colleen text at 1245 advised that Kaiwi (RK96) was at Makalei Beach Park today.
