9/16/2016 DB's Dailies:

At 0806 I found Kea (RN46) just moving down from the tall grass toward Seal Rock Inlet. He would remain all day and was the sole Rabbit Island resident today.

At 0600 Team Billand found Pohaku (RO28) at Puka Pants Beach, Nanakuli. She is 100% molted.

At 0958 they reported Kekoa (RK72) & what would turn out to be Kerby (RW08) at Maili Point.

Diane G sent shots of Lei Ola from her afternoon shift at Turtle Bay.

Beautiful picture of the coast
I didn't order any plate lunch!

After studying the photos of Kerby, something crossed my mind.

Kerby is Ewa Girls son from April of 2008 from Rabbit Island.

Kekoa Alii was Ewa girls son from June 2011.

That means, Kekoa Alii RK72 and Kerby RW08 are: Brothers!!!!

I dont remember in all these years that these two brothers have been together at One Beach. Just thought to myself: THIS IS SO COOL.

I wonder if they know that they are: BROTHERS.

Monk seals are such amazing creatures, I so love them all.

And I know that Kerby been hooked a couple of times, Kekoa hasnt, but, Kekoa was entangled once when he weaned off of Ewa Girl and thank heavens NOAA took the strapping band of his little body. That white band was wrapped so tight around his girth, just squeezing his belly tight. Thanks NOAA...SEAN FARRY.
