6/1/2016 DB's Dailies: Sadie&Pup@RI, DBPohaku@Paradise Cove, RIP&R8HY@Makua Cliffs, Team Billand,

It would be my 2nd look at Rabbit Island before I found Sadie & Pup (D#35) on the beach, fronting Left Greenery doing a feed. This marks the first observed time that they have been away from the “birth beach”, at the left end of the island. They would enter the water ate 0914 and haul out again at their more usual spot left of 1BS at 1000. They were the only RI residents today.

At 0611 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) out on the rocks at Paradise Cove. Auntie Nettie did a blessing, and Pohaku departed at 1700. Hopefully Barbara will comment on the blessing.

At 1123 they found RIP (RR70) and another animal at Makua Cliffs. At 1215 the other animal would prove to be R8HY. Both would depart at 1215.

WE found Pohaku, signed her off, educated.
After watching how restless she was, we thought, lets call Auntie to bless Pohaku.

Called Auntie, she came, blessed us and then sweet fat Pohaku.

Auntie asked that we tie the t leaves to the sign, after Pohaku would leave, then take the t leaves, tie it to the fence. Leave it there.

When the leaves turn brown, then Auntie will remove the leaves from the fence, crush it up and return it to the sea.

It was an honor to be there..to see Pohaku so large, moving about to find a comfortalbe spot. To have her blessed to make sure, she gets to Kauai safely to give birth. AND HAVE A BABY GIRL this time as she already got THREE SONS.

By the way, that son F28 was on Oahu at the ford Island facility, to remove a hook he swallowed. Hope he survives and can be returned to Kauai soon. Prayers.

I hope Pohaku goes straight to Kauai and not stop over at Depots...full throttle kid, GO TO KAUAI.

Flipper hugs, safe journey....Pohaku!!!

She was fine all day at PC. She slept, then spent the last hour and half with her head in the water and small ripples washing over her face. Everyone around was respectful and appreciative of the volunteer time spent with Pohaku and all the other seals. Lots of smart and nice kids out there asking so many great questions, and so excited she is about to have another pup. Can't wait to hear about her new pup, and hope all goes well for both of them.
