5/25/2016 DB's Dailies: Sadie&Pup@Rabbit Island, Pohaku@CIP, R8HY@Mokuleia, Kekoa@Maili Pt, RL42@Makua Cliff, U/Y|U@Kaimana

It was a slow day in the SE quadrant. Sadie & Pup (D#28) were the only cast out this way. We had nuisance overcast, but nothing like the posse was reporting out west and the north route to Ka’ena Point. It was dumpin’ out there, with flooding.

Team Billand called at 0636 with the report of a foraging Pohaku (RO28) off shore of Campbell Industrial Park.

Lesley M., called at 0743 with the report of R8HY once again near the estate, at Mokuleia. Tammy & Dave T., attempted Ka’ena Point but only made it as far as 10 minute beach. They did however see R8HY at his same morning location at 1259.

Team Billand called again at 0818 with the report of Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point. Their last find came at 1046 with the report of RL42 at Makua Cliffs.

On one of my many checks of various sites, I came across an Instagram shot of an U/U at Kaimana today. While a confirmed ID is impossible, I’d have to put my dollar on Rocky, by size & shape, as well as the location, but ????

I have an Oooops! To “fess” up too. Thank you Lusi for bringing to my attention the fact that I forgot Nani’s cake on her 5th Birthday yesterday. I had to laugh when I read Lusi's comment.... made me smile that people look forward to certain tradition....

Believe me, I'm wondering the same thing. He has established a pattern of being MIA for 12 to 14 days, and then popping up for 4 days or so. As of today he has been gone for 31 days, this time around. Each day I hope the little dude will be waiting for me, but alas, nothing yet. Sure , bad stuff can happen, but its just as likely that he is growing up, and is out there exploring. Maybe today ????? DB
