On my first look at Rabbit Island at 0646 Sadie & Pup (D#30) were in the water at the left end. When I got back at 0811 they were doing a feed.There would be two additional water sessions and 3 additional feeds.Also at 0811 I found what would prove to be Kainoa (RN04) right of 3BS.
There were 2 DOCARE Incidents at RI today. The first guy got away clean. DOCARE responded but too late.
On the 2nd incident DOCARE actually called me at 1500. I was off doing my afternoon checks of other spots, when the officer called to advise that there were 2 guys on the island. I got back to Makai Pier at 1522, and found the two hanging out fronting 2BS. They would depart, however they elected to kayak to where Sadie&Pup were in the water. Sadie charged them a few times, but the guys would not depart, electing to back up a bit, which Sadie wasn’t going for. They would finally depart and return to Kaupo Beach Park where they were met by a DOCARE Officer. I do not know the outcome. At 1022 Gayle called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at “Irma’s Grotto”, Kokee Flats. The HMMA Hotline was notified.
At 0600 Team Billand reported Pohaku (RO28) a Paradise Cove. They put up a SAA, and remained until 1030, awaiting HMMA personnel.
At 1319 the Billands called with the report of R8HY & RL42 together at Makua Cliffs.At 1048 posse member Christian Young called to advise that he was with Rocky (RH58) at the Magic Island trough. His photos confirm the Rocky ID. The HMMA Hotline was notified.
An afternoon text from Donna brought a shot from her kayak posse, of Nani (RK60) at Moku Nui.
