I arrived at Makai Pier at 0714, and saw a
profile of Sadie (RB12), high on the beach, 60 ft left of 1BS on Rabbit Island.
Seconds later a small , black pup (PO1) came into view from around her
butt. Shortly thereafter Sadie would lead a galumph down to near the
water line at the far left end of the beach. It was mostly sleeping, but there
were feeding sessions and interactions.
Also at 0714 I became aware of a partially visible animal up in the Morning Glory fronting 1BS. It would prove to be RG32. He would galumph down to the beach in the area of Sadie &PO1. He never really got closer than 50-60 ft, and Sadie easily kept him at bay.
At 0836 what would prove to be Kekoa (RK72) arrived to the left end of RI. He and RG32 hung together for a while, and Kekoa made multiple attempts to get near Sadie&PO1. Again, Sadie had no trouble whatsoever making Kekoa get the hint that he was not welcome.
At 1329 Kea (RN46) arrived to the left end. He and Kekoa interacted a bit. Kekoa would depart, but Kea staying in the vicinity of Sadie & PO1. At no time did Kea ever advance toward them. He remained in the area, but there was never any interaction during my observation period.
Kea(RN46) was seen with Kaiwi(RK96) at Kokee Flats this morning at 0940. At 1332 Kea would show up at Rabbit Island.Amazing !!!
At 0605 Team Billand reported Benny (RE74) at Paradise Cove.
At 0754 they reported Kerby (RW08) at Maili. He would depart at 0943.
At 0801 the Billands would report RW02 at Maili.
At 0929 RIP (RR70) would join RW02. RIP would depart at 1012, but returned at 1519.
At 1348 the Billands found RL42 at Makua Cliffs.
Tammy T., did the End of the World trek from the northern route. Lesley also made the trip. At 0927 Tammy would report R3CU, Ka’ena(RO40)& Squinty (R330) at Ka’ena Point.
On her trip out Tammy reported R8HY at the Mokuleia birth beach. Shortly thereafter she reported the arrival of Holokai (RG40) to the same location.
