3/28/2016 DB's Dailies: RG32&Kainoa@Rabbit Island, Pohaku@Uleawa's, Benny@Makaha Surfside Condos, Kekoa&Kolohe@Maili Point

Strong SW winds made Rabbit Island observations a challenge. I found RG32 at Seal Rock Inlet , hiding from me all day, and Kainoa on the water front rocks 80 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. I noticed when he finally moved, galumphing up with the rising tide, that he was favoring his RFF. I noticed a new, minor wound on the trailing edge of the flipper , near the shoulder joint.

 Team Billand called at 0650 with the report of Kekoa (RK72) at Maili Point.

 At 0720 Kolohe (RW22) made a short haul out to Kekoa, but quickly departed. At some point he returned and remained the rest of the day. Kekoa would depart at 1351.

 At 1000 the Billands found Pohaku (RO28) at Uleawa Beach Park. Per Melina, Pohaku departed at 1730.

 A call to the Billands at 1637 advised of an animal at Makaha Surfside Condos. They confirmed the Benny (RE74) ID.

 A Diane Gabriel text at 1711 advised that she was with Holokai (RG40) at the Elbow, Turtle Bay. 

Don Porter had seen R5AY at that location this morning at 1030. She would depart at 1300. He advised that Holokai hauled out 1355.
