3/7/2016 DB's Dailies: Kainoa@Rabbit Island, Kekoa&Kimo Kai@Maili Pt, Right Spot@Turtle Bay, Pohaku@CIP, RK36@Maili Guard Rails

I’d been on it since first light, and found nothing. Gayle too had checked in having found nobody on her pass through the quadrant. I’d been at the pier looking at a bare Rabbit Island (even the birds won’t land), and was moments away from declaring a Skunked Day , when on a desperation pan, at 1217, I found a barely visible animal, just arriving at Seal Rock Inlet, on Rabbit Island. It would take some patience, but finally at 1318, after moving up into view, I could finally ID Kainoa (RN04). He would be the only find in the quadrant today.

Team Billand called at 0847 with the repot of Kekoa (RK72) just arriving to Maili Point. At 0920 he would be joined by Kimo Kai (RT12).

At 1038 they found Pohaku (RO28) doing 6 minute dives at CIP.

They had responded to an Ewa Beach call, at Access 186B, but alas the animal was gone on arrival.

Diane Gabriel called at 1002 with word that jogger Jolie had found and documented Right Spot (R016) at Right Spot’s Spot, Turtle Bay. Dr. Tom would also document Right Spot . It appears as though her Sandy Beach adventure as ended and she is back home again (It ain’t called Right Spot’s Spot for nothin’).

Team Billand reported RK36 at Maili Guard Rails at 1628,'
