3/20/2016 DB's Dailies: Kainoa&Cass@Rabbit Island, Kaiwi@Spitting Cave&China Walls, Rocky@Wind Sock, BG@Turtle Bay, Kimo Kai@ Nanakai Bch, Kekoa&Kolohe@Maili Pt, Right Spot@ Camp Erdman

It was just a gazillion bird and me when I arrived at Makai Pier to begin the Rabbit Island day. At 0746 Kainoa (RN04) hauled out fronting 3BS. He moved up into the vegetation which did not go over well with the Sooty population. He snoozed for an hours or so before moving back down to mid beach where he spent the rest of the day.

At 0919 Cass (RG06) hauled out, 60 ft left of Seal Rock Inlet. She too moved up but since this is her first bird experience she stopped just short of the vegetation. She too would later move down. She also remained all day.

At 0800 a Marilyn text reported Kaiwi (RK96) once again doing 8 minute dives at Spitting Cave.

At 1158 Gayle called to advise that Kaiwi was now at China Walls.

At 0630 Team Billand advised that Rocky (RH58) had once again overnighted at Wind Sock. At 1210 Marie reported Rocky’s departure.

At 0800 Dr. Tom sent photos of BG (R303) at the Elbow, Turtle Bay.

The Billands found Kimo Kai (RT12)at Nanakai Bch, Maili at 1400 At 1418 they reported Kekoa (RK72)&Kolohe (RW22) at Maili Point.

Lesley called at 1632 with the report of Right Spot (R016) once again at Camp Erdman. Mahalos to posse member Rusty for the call.
