4-26-2014 DB's Dailies: Sadie&Pup,Kainoa,M38&U/F@RI, T21M@Ewa Beach

At 0654 I found Sadie&Pup (RB12)(D#24), Kainoa(RN04) & M38 on Rabbit Island. Mom and pup did 3 feeds and 3 swims in my presence.

At 0800 I found an U/F on the left rock flats at RI.

At 1145 M38 would enter the water and at 1158 hauled out to join the U/F, at the left end flats.

At 1149 Melanie called with the report of Kaiwi (RK96) at China Walls. She had not been there on Marilyn’s earlier check.

At 0629 the Billands posse member, Rich called them to advise that his "buoy baby" was at White Plains. The Billands confirmed the M&M (R020) ID.

At 0641 Buster (RV08) arrived and he and M&M hauled out together fronting Tower#1, WP.

At 1348 the Billands reported R018 & RIP (RR70) arrived and hauled out to #1707, WP. RIP would depart at 1723.

My all time favorite Canadian posse people, Todd & Darlene called at 0850 to advise that while visiting friends in Ewa Beach yesterday, they found T21M on the beach, with signs up, behind the friends house. He apparently remained all day. She assumed that he had been reported because of the signs so she didn’t call me. Darlene called again at 1339 to advise that she had talked to her friend again today and the animal is still there. I am unaware of any calls today on this haul out.

God bless the ONE Volunteer who came out to help with four animals and hundreds of people on shore and in the water...Her name..Cindy from Ft Shafter.

And she also did a Honu Guardian watch BEFORE coming out to plains late yesterday..wow a real trooper to me. And she handled the four animals before we returned BY HERSELF.

We had been out at Plains from 6:30am with the two animals at first. We called for help, no one came.

We stayed there on shore in rain and all till 1:15pm and then, we got hungry and just .... left site.

And as soon as we were munching on a ono Pizza, the call came in from the LIFEGUARD, BARB, two more critters just hauled up at the cabins. But the volunteer is here...

Got there, Cindy had began roping off the two new critters AND educating folks...she is cool.

Turned out to be R018 and Rip..who were at each other, of course.

So many thanks to a TROOPER Of a Volunteer...Cindy!!!!!!!!!!

And only RIP had left site, 5:23pm...but the other seals stayed. SO we all stayed as well till 7 or just after 7 pm..too many folks out there still.

And..Cindy saw some one enter the zone of R018, try to pet the seal. Rob ran over, spoke to all the guests, NO ONE SAW OR KNEW ANYTHING. Hmmm..after all that educating...hmmmmm.

THANKS CINDY...you da best!!!!
