As has been the case of late, Kainoa (RN04) was the one and only Rabbit Island resident today. I found him galumphing in the left end shallows on my 2nd look at 0846. He would finally haul out at 1120 to the rock flats where he spent the rest of the day.
At 1230 on a midday check of "Buster Flats", the rock flats area to the east of Lanai Lookout, I found Kaiwi (RK96) and Aukai (RL12) together. I thought it a possibility since Dera called this morning, to advise that Kaiwi had been seen there yesterday, and checks by both Gayle and I didn't find her (or anybody else) on the morning SE quadrant checks.
At 0645 Kimo Smith called with the report of R912 in Maili. The Billands also reported her at 0717.
Dana called at 0810 to advise that RL54 had been sighted again today at the elbow, Turtle Bay.
Team Billand reported Irma (R010) at Wind Sock at 0917. They would report her relocation the the bunkers west of WSK at 1412. Irma would depart at 1810.
Kimo checked in again, from the end of the world, at 0925 with the report of RIP (RR70) at Ka'ena Pt.
The Billands called at 1810 with the report of Buster (RV08) at Wind Sock.
Though not Monk Seal related the highlight of the day came with a call from Team Billand at 1120 advising that they had found, and reported to da' cops, a graffitti as....le, with paint cans in hand, in the act of decorating a bunker west of Kermit's Reef. 5-0 actually got the guy in the act !!! Busted !!! Ya' Done Good !!!
"Molokai Di" checked in at 1240 to report finding Noa (R6FI), on her trek today. Once again I say.... Ya' Done Good !!!
