5-12-2013 DB's Dailies: Kainoa@RI, KC@Laniakea, RB24@PC, Kermit@WSK, Irma&Buster@NIM, UU@Makaha, UU@Kaaawa, UU@EB

Once again today, Kainoa (RN04) was the only SE quadrant animal found. Weather and yet another race out this way made it difficult (Mahalos to Kimo & Gayle for braving the conditions & road closures). I finally found Kainoa at the far left end of Rabbit Island at 1115. He spent the day mostly hidden behind a Kainoa sized rock, which made any attempt at getting a shot, a total waste of pixels. I will spare you.

Cianna was on it bright and early, calling at 0600 with the report of "N14", KC (RK28) at Laniakea, amongst the turtles. Thankfully, Honu Guardians were on the job.

Cianna called again at 0803 with the report of an animal at Paradise Cove. Team Billand would confirm the Haupu (RB24) ID at 0852. Dana reported her departure at 1517.

At 0950 Team Billand checked in with the report of Kermit (R012), once again at Wind Sock.

Ocean Safety called at 1218 reporting an animal just hauling out to Makaha Beach. Dana advised that Debbie was responding. Awaiting further word. Cianna called at 1830 to advise that the animal was reported to still be there.

Cianna checked in again at 1335 to advise that "N3" , Irma (R010) had been reported fronting #1775, Nimitz Cottages. When the Billands got to the location at 1517 they found not only Irma, but Buster (RV08) as well. Buster & Irma departed at 1730.

Cianna called at 1503 with the report of an U/U at Kaaawa. Awaiting further word.

At 1905 Cianna called with the report of a new arrival in Ewa Beach. I've gotten no further word.

Last but not least, Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there who managed to work the critters in between brunches and celebrations. Thank you.....very much !!
