DB Post Monday 6/1/2009

Though the morning lighting and haze were a problem, it turned out to be a beautiful, and thankfully quiet day at Rabbit Island. Ewa Girl and the pup spent the day at the left end of the island. I observed 4 feeds and 2 swim session, with lots of snooze time in between.

Sadie was down near the 3BS in the morning but moved to the middle cliff area for the afternoon.

Buster dropped in at 1356, hauling out 50 ft or so right of Ewa Girl & Pup. When he got to within 40 ft, she gave him the hint, and he spent the rest of the afternoon well away from her.

For those of you who may not have the geneology down, this was an interesting cast. Buster is Ewa Girl's 4 yr. old son, and Sadie is her 2 yr. old daughter, both born at Rabbit Island. Aloha, DB
