DB Post Saturday 4/18/2009

Rabbit Island was the only action in the Zone #12 count today. At 0708 I found R301 on the water front rocks at the right end of the beach. At 0938, to my complete surprise, he was joined by M38. He and R301 had several spats, but ultimately things settled down. M38's last RI visit was on 1-17-09. Since then he has been seen only on Molokai by the Bloy/Pike expeditions.

At 1054, while the boyz were still spatting, I noticed that both suddenly looked over their shoulders, and immediate beat flipper further up the rocks. At that moment RIP hauled out of the inlet. Though he remained 10 ft away from the other two, all 3 remained at that location all day.

At 1147, on a pan of the beach, I found that Buster had hauled out at the far left end of the beach. He would remain there, by himself, the rest of the day. Aloha, DB
