April 22, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley.  Lesley' Ka'ena Update is part two of the dailies.

Just before noon Team Billand found Ka'ale RH32 alone sleeping on the rocks, at a westside location just before heading off to Ka'ena West.  This particular west side location is not his usual spots in and around the outfall, maybe our boy is busy following the girls around.

They decided to make the Ka'ena West trek where they came across Holokai RG40 snoozing alone on the rocks. This was a nice treat to see him again and for Aunty Barbara to get reacquainted with him. He is a good size and looking quite healthy.

Team Billand's next find was RIP RR70, he was all wet and looking like he might have just arrived. He was still there on their way back and completely turned around, perhaps he had a visitor.

Team Billand last find on their Ka'ena West trek was RW02 PvKauai. He is looking to be in good condition, robust, healthy coat and no new markers.  Apparently he was in the area where Holokai had been earlier.  AND this is why paying attention to who is where when matters, rather than assuming it's the same critter. ( a mistake I have personally made back in the day).
